Bengaluru: Senior Congress Leader Mallikarjuna Kharge is contesting for the post of All India Congress Committee (AICC) President at the behest of two other families, alleged BJP National General Secretary C. T. Ravi.

Addressing a press conference, he said that the drama for the post of AICC President has begun. Sonia Gandhi was not in India before Mallikarjuna Kharge came into public life. Kharge is contesting due to his bonded mentality, he said.

MLAs from several states, including Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Goa are voluntarily quitting the Congress and joining the BJP. Ghulam Nabi Azad also said that he declares ‘Azadi’ from the Congress.

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said, “Wherever Rahul Gandhi steps in, it will be a boon for the BJP. He stepped into Uttar Pradesh and finished the Congress party. After coming to Kerala, the Congress-led government was never formed. Therefore, Rahul’s entry into the State will be a boon for the BJP,” he said.
