Bengaluru: A man, who climbed a coconut tree to pluck coconuts, died of a heart attack on a tree in Kengeri Police Station limits on Monday February 6.
The deceased has been identified as Narayanappa (60), a resident of Mylasandra. The incident took place at around 7.30 am. There is a coconut tree about 50 feet high near Venkatramana Temple in Vijayashree Layout, Mylasandra.
Narayanappa himself used to pluck fruits from this tree every time. And thus he has climbed the tree on Monday. At this time, he suffered a heart attack there and did not come down for a long time. Further, there was no response even if called or shouted at.
Suspicious locals called the Police. The Police who reached the spot called the fire men.
Later, when the Fire Brigade Personnel used a crane to bring down Narayanappa, who was sitting on a coconut tree, he was found dead. A post-mortem was conducted at a private hospital and the body was handed over to the family members, Police said.
A case has been registered at Kengeri Police Station in this regard.
