Bengaluru: Man who came to see Vidhana Soudha dies in road accident

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, one person was killed when his friend’s bike met with an accident near Seven Minister Quarters under High Grounds Traffic Police Station limits in the wee hours of Sunday January 29.

The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Acharya (28), a resident of Subedar Palya in Yeshwanthpura. The pillion rider, Parashuram (29), sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Rajesh Acharya, who was working at a private hospital, had come to watch the Vidhana Soudha with Parashuram, who worked with a private news channel, around 2.00 am.

They were travelling at high speed and recklessly towards Windsor Manor from High Grounds junction side and fell down near The Seven Minister Quarters with both being injured. The two were immediately rushed to Bowring Hospital. However, the doctors who examined him confirmed that Rajesh Acharya had died on the way.

Parashuram was also injured and is undergoing treatment, the traffic police said.
