Bengaluru: Minister Ashok releases 300 Cr to rain-hit people

Bengaluru: Revenue Minister R. Ashok on Thursday August 4 has ordered the release of Rs. 300 Crore towards compensation and rehabilitation of rain-affected people.

In a statement, Minister stated, “Heavy rains have caused heavy damages to people of the State. I have personally visited several places which are affected due to rains. As an immediate response, I am releasing Rs. 300 Crore as compensation and rehabilitation.”

According to the Government order, the money under the State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) will be used to compensate for house damages caused due to heavy rainfall between July and November 2021.
