Bengaluru: Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje in a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) handle the investigation into the murder of BJP youth leader Praveen Nettar in the Dakshina Kannada District.
Karandlaje, who represents Udupi-Chikkamagaluru in the Lok Sabha, condemned the murder and blamed Muslim fundamentalists and groups like the PFI, SDPI, and similar ones for being responsible for it and the continuing radicalisation of the Dakshina Kannada District.
After pointing out that a motorcycle with a Kerala registration number was used to attack Nettar, she said a thorough investigation is required to determine whether the assailants belonged to radical groups from Kerala.
