Bengaluru: After a claim of a 40 per cent commission scam made by prominent Congress leaders, Hosadurga MLA Gulihatti Shekhar, now a prominent BJP leader, Hosadurga MLA Gulihatti Shekhar has alleged Rs.22,000 Crore irrigation scam in the State.
Shekhar is the Chairman of Bhovi Development Corporation.
This allegation comes as a big shocker for the ruling party.
In his letter dated February 3 to the Additional Chief Secretary, of the Irrigation Department, Shekhar alleged rampant corruption in all the irrigational corporations. He alleged that a coterie is working in the corporations and involved in this corruption.
He claimed that there is no transparency in the tenders floated by the department.
He alleged corruption in the Upper Bhadra project also for which the centre recently released Rs. 5,300 Crore.
