Bengaluru: Kumbalagodu police found an abandoned newborn baby girl in the Sulikere forest area near Kengeri and admitted her to a private hospital on the night on Saturday January 28.
Sahana Patil, a probationary police sub-inspector, Constables Sanjeeva, and Archana were assigned to bundobust duty during the Someshwara festival within the limits of the Magadi Police Station, informed the police. After finishing their duty, they were travelling back to the Kumbalagodu Police Station when they spotted a group of people in the Sulikere forest area. They stopped to find out what had happened.
Police were informed by the public that a newborn girl had been abandoned in the nearby forest.
The infant, who was wrapped in plastic, was crying in the bushes. Police immediately took the infant to a nearby hospital.
A case has been registered in this regard.
