Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested a 25-year-old Palestinian for drug peddling.

The arrested accused, identified as Hasan W. A. Hashem, is a resident of Yelahanka New Town. He was allegedly selling MDMA crystals to students and other customers.

He was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Wing, who also seized about 320 gm of MDMA crystals worth Rs. 25 lakh from him. The Yelahanka New Town Police Station has registered a case against him, and the CCB officers are trying to locate his associates.

The CCB informed that Hashem arrived in Bengaluru six years ago on a student visa and left the country after his studies were completed. But he started selling drugs after returning a few months ago on a business visa.

According to the police, he bought the MDMA from Sudan and sold it to his customers. He demanded between Rs. 8,500 and Rs. 8,600 per gram.
