Bengaluru: Among the five arrested in the bribe case pertaining to Chennagiri MLA Madal Virupakshappa’s son Madal Prashanth, two are staff of a private company who were at the Office to give bribe money. They were not aware of the Lokayukta raid.
According to the sources, the raid was carried out based on the complaint of a contractor. However, another company’s staff who arrived to give bribes to the MLA’s son was a surprise catch for the Lokayukta Police.
According to the sources, Rs.1.6 Crore seized from Prashanth’s office was brought by these two staff of a private company engaged in supply of chemicals.
