Bengaluru: The Monsoon session of the Legislative Assembly passed The Karnataka Protection of Interest of Depositors in Financial Establishments (Amendment) Bill, 2022 on Friday September 17.

The bill enables the investigators to club multiple FIRs (first information report) against an accused into one. This will be tried in the Special Court said Law and Parliamentary affairs Minister J. C. Madhuswamy.

The house also passed The Karnataka Land Revenue (Amendment) Bill, which extends the cut off date by one year to apply for regularisation of unauthorised cultivation of government land.
