Bengaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) police has raided three lodges in the City for allegedly running a prostitution racket and busted a racket that was going on in the secret room of a lodge in Cottonpete and the other places here in the City.

Based on a tip-off, raids were conducted at lodges in Cottonpete, Kalasipalya and lodges of the City Market. Six women were rescued. Nine persons including the managers and staff of the lodges, have been arrested in this connection.

The CCB informed that the women were forced into prostitution on the pretext of employment. The secret room was found during a raid at lodge on Cottonpete Main Road. Two women, who were hiding in a secret room, have been rescued. The wall of the room on the fourth floor had been carved around 3 feet and a room was built inside it wherein five to six people can sit comfortably.

The lodge staff would press the alarm as the police would raid the lodge. The women who were engaged in prostitution immediately went to the secret room and sat down. However, during this raid the women were not found. The CCB police said that the secret room was later found after a search for two-and-a-half hours and racket this was busted.
