Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday September 6 said that the CID, which is investigating into the PSI scam case, may look into an audio tape of what appears to be a conversation between the father of a candidate for a Sub-Inspector post and a BJP MLA.
“The chargesheets have been filed. The investigation is underway, and if anything, new comes, that will also be probed,” he said in response to the alleged conversation between Kanakagiri BJP legislator Basavaraj Durugappa Dadesugur and the job applicant’s father, over returning Rs. 15 lakh allegedly given to get job.
A judicial probe has been demanded by Congress. According to KPCC Chief D. K. Shivakumar, Dadesugur said he had given money to the government and that a legal probe was required.
Dadesugur denied the allegations made against him. The audio sample, according to him, has nothing to do with the PSI recruiting process. When questioned about the mention of money, he responded that it had nothing to do with him and that he was only trying to assist the person by offering to help in resolving the problem. It is unrelated to PSI recruitment. It was an old conversation,” he said.
