Bengaluru Rural: Kannadigas festival and Nammoora Kannada Sarathi Award ceremony was held at Bashettihalli Bank Circle here in the City.
Speaking on the occasion, Dheeraj Muniraju, Convener of BJP Beneficiaries Prakoshtha, said that Kannada Literary tradition is rich and today’s generation should realise this and develop pride in the country and language. He said that the use of Kannada language needs to be increased and the role of organisations fighting for the survival of the country and the language is important.
Ravi Manikunte, Founder of Chirarini Kannadambe Struggle Committee, said, “Karnataka is a peace-loving State. However, people are living in fear because of some organisations which are disturbing the peace here by raking up border disputes. Kannada language is sovereign in Karnataka. Whatever be the mother tongue, it is the duty of everyone to respect the language here, he said and added local Kannadigas should get jobs in the industrial area.
