Bengaluru: Police has seized sandalwood worth Rs. 16.5 lakh and arrested a four-member gang in Western Bengaluru.
Police personnel from the Kamakshipalya Police Station found two men loitering suspiciously next to a mini-goods vehicle parked at an isolated area near Kaveripura Gudde on January 6. On questioning the men and subsequently searching, police found 20 sandalwood logs inside weighing about 330 kg.
The suspects have been booked under the Karnataka Forest Act.
