Bengaluru: High Court on Wednesday September 7 directed Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to mandatorily set up ward-wise cells to address the grievances of citizens affected by the heavy rains and floods in several areas here.

Court stated that each cell should have an engineer and team of engineers who will attend to the grievance of the public and manage systematic water flow, respectively.

Further, court directed BBMP to expedite such a proposal. Also it instructed the BBMP to obtain the approval of the State Government for the same.
