Bengaluru: The BESCOM has made available 11 helpline numbers in a bid to help consumers get speedy resolution for power outage and power-related queries.
The move comes in order to ease the time it takes for consumers to connect in case of a problem or query. The existing helpline number 1912 is flooded with calls during emergencies, and many consumers are unable to get connected.
In backdrop of this, it is the Energy, Kannada and Culture Minister V. Sunil Kumar who has instructed BESCOM to provide WhatsApp numbers to all eight districts under it’s jurisdiction.
Under Bengaluru Urban District, for South circle 8277884011, West circle, 8277884012, East circle, 8277884013, North circle, 8277884014, Kolar, 8277884015, and Chikkaballapura 8277884016 are the helpline numbers, while for Bengaluru Rural, 8277884017, Ramanagara, 8277884018, Tumakuru, 8277884019, Chitradurga, 8277884020, and Davangere, 8277884021 are the helpline numbers.
