Bengaluru: Following the revision of electricity tariffs, the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has proposed a power tariff hike to the Karnataka Electricity Regulation Commission (KERC).
According to sources, BESCOM has suggested to KERC that the tariff be increased by Rs. 1.23 per unit to Rs. 1.50 per unit. The plan is similar to one made last year.
Officials from Bescom claimed the proposal was sent to KERC three days ago. According to KERC officials, the decision on whether to accept, reject, or redefine the plan will be made at a later stage.
