Bengaluru: As the election season is fast approaching, many leaders in the State are likely to switch parties. The Congress has already formed a committee under the chairmanship of Former Minister Allam Veerabhadrappa to submit a report on inducting leaders from other parties. Now, the BJP has also decided to form such a committee.

A decision in this regard was taken in the party core committee meeting.

Party National General Secretary C. T. Ravi informed that this committee will first scrutinise the applications submitted by the leaders who want to join from other parties. After verifying their credentials, the committee will make a recommendation to the State Unit whether they should be inducted or not.

“The party State Unit President will form this committee,” he said.

According to the party sources with many disgruntled leaders from JD (S) and Congress likely to join the party as the 2023 general election is fast approaching, this decision has been taken.
