Bengaluru: The BJP shared a photo of Divya Hagaragi, one of the main suspects in the PSI recruitment scam, with Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar on on its official Twitter handle just days after the Congress posted images of her.
The BJP claimed in a tweet that the photo proved the scam was part of the Congress’ toolkit. The tweet stated, “Only Congress can bring corruption into the system without being in power.”

Speaking to mediapersons Shivakumar said that the photo was taken when she met him as part of a delegation. “Let the police issue a warrant for my arrest and question me. I used to work as a Minister, and she came to me as part of a delegation to complain about something,” he stressed.
In response to the tweet, Karnataka Congress claimed that the picture was taken in 2018. “There are photos of Divya Hagaragi with several BJP leaders, not just Shivakumar. Does it imply that you will suspend all these leaders for joining hands with Congress? Why were your party leaders hosted by her? Why is she not arrested yet?”
