Bengaluru: The Congress High Command has appointed Senior Party Leader B. K. Hariprasad as the Opposition Leader in the State Legislative Council.
The post is vacant since January 5 after incumbent leader S. R. Patil’s term as the member concluded.
K. Govindaraj is appointed as the deputy for Hariprasad. Former cricketer Prakash Rathod is appointed as the Chief Whip.
It can be recalled that the party now has appointed Former Irrigation Minister M. B. Patil as the new President for the campaign committee. The idea behind this is to take all the major communities together.
