Bengaluru: The Karnataka Home Buyers Forum held a formal press conference on Saturday February 5 to highlight the issues they were facing after many petitions to various authorities failed to yield results.
For the past two weeks, the forum has organised a daily ‘Home Dhoka,’ in which they have highlighted the issues that every homebuyer faces, particularly with builders, spanning from project non-compliance to the latter’s failure to deliver on promised projects.
The failure of the Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority (K-RERA) and other authorities to address the buyers’ issues in a timely manner was also a major complaint. Many others also claimed that they had been waiting for years for a resolution.
Despite the fact that cases are ongoing, several homebuyers are yet to receive any compensation as a result of the authorities’ allegedly slow pace. In the meantime, the forum has asked K-RERA to use its authorities to assist home buyers and to stop sanctioning new projects to repeat offenders.
