Bengaluru: Officials from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested an ex-soldier in connection with the PSI examination scam on Monday June 20.
Vishwanath Thimmappa Mane, a resident of Sarur village in Vijayapura District’s Muddebihal Taluk, has been arrested.
According to sources, he allegedly used a Bluetooth device to write the exam at a centre set up at Nobel school in the City.
It can be recalled that as many as 54,000 candidates took the written exams across 93 centres on October 3, 2021.
Following claims that the answer sheets of some candidates who took the exams at the Gynanajyothi English Medium School in Kalaburagi were tampered with, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) conducted a preliminary investigation and filed a case.
