B’luru: Police fire at acid attack accused

Bengaluru: Nagesh, the accused of an acid attack on a woman who was arrested in Tamil Nadu on Friday May 13 sustained leg injuries after police firing.

He has been operated on in a private hospital in RR Nagar. According to the initial reports, police first shot at his right leg when he attacked them with stone to escape on the Kengeri flyover.

According to the police, Nagesh asked police to stop the vehicle saying he wants to attend to nature’s call. After getting down from the police vehicle he tried to escape by hitting the police with a stone. At that time police fired at his leg in self-defence.
