Bengaluru: The Koramangala Police has busted a huge ganja peddling racket and recovered 102 kgs of ganja from accused.
It is said that the accused Ramesh, Shivaraj, Murthy, Manjunath and Abhilash, all natives of Pushpapura in Hanur Taluk of Chamarajanagara District. The main accused Ramesh was buying ganja from Vishakapattanam in Andhra Pradesh at cheaper price and selling it to other accused. The others were turning it into small packets, and carrying it to Bengaluru and selling it to customers.
Acting on a tip off police seized ganja and bikes used for selling ganja. The police said that the prime accused Ramesh is an accused in murder, chain snatching and ganja peddling cases in Konanakunte, KR Pura, HSR Layout and Begur Police Station limits.
Police has registered a case and is investigating.
