Bengaluru: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra has asked for detailed report from Bengaluru Parappana Agrahara Central Prison officials after allegations were made of special facilities at Parappana Agrahara prison for certain prisoners. In a video that has gone viral recently shows a history-sheeter now out on bail is discussing with another prisoner about how they have special facilities at the prison on bribing officials.
Home Minister said, “I have sought a detailed probe report from the Prison Department officials about the alleged illegal activities inside central prisons. I have also ordered to take strict action against those who are behind such illegal activities.”
It can be recalled here that a convicted prisoner last year had written a letter to the home minister and other officials alleging a nexus between some jail officials and rowdy sheeters to get special treatment in the prison.
