Bengaluru: Namma Metro’s first Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Urja, drilling between Cantonment station and Shivaji Nagar station, has broken a record by tunnelling 27 metres in a single day.
The TBM has been redeployed to complete the tunnel between Cantonment and Pottery Town. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) public relations team announced the achievement on Wednesday April 27.
The message stated that TBM Urja achieved progress of 27 metres of tunnelling work in a single day on April 25, which is the best to date.
