Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai launched various development projects in Bengaluru, saying that the city would be developed in a planned and long-term manner.
He was speaking after launching a number of development projects in the Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency, including the Grade Separator at Ullala and Annapoorneshwari Nagar.
“Bengaluru would be developed in a planned manner with long-term vision. It is imperative to draw new plans. In this regard, our government is working,” “Bommai remarked.
He also emphasised the importance of curbing the use of hoardings and banners throughout the city and advising officials to stop using flex banners without permission.
“People should refrain from installing flex banners and hoardings. Plastic usage should be minimised. Today, Rs. 250 Crore worth of civic projects have been launched. It would help in the construction of the signal-free corridor, said Bommai.
He also highlighted the development of major storm water drains (Rajakaluves) at a cost of Rs. 3000 Crore.
“Houses built on these drains without authorisation would be evicted. Alternative housing would be given for the poor,” Bommai said.
