Bengaluru: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday June 6 arrested Darshan Gowda, the top scorer in the controversial Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) recruitment scam.
According to reliable sources, Gowda’s objective section score was 141 out of 150.
On June 5 and 6, the CID registered three more FIRs and detained four PSI recruits, including Gowda. The Investigating Officer (IO) summoned Gowda for questioning last month.
The CID has so far found two fraudulent methods including tampering with Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets and the use of Bluetooth, that were allegedly used by candidates to get good marks in return for large sums of money ranging from Rs. 30 lakh to Rs. 80 lakh.
