Bengaluru: A youth is on the verge of losing his left leg over wrong injection given by a private doctor.
It is said that the youth Abhi (18) working as steward in a hotel went to a private clinic in Mylasandra in Begur in the City on January 6 to get treatment for cough, cold and fever. The doctor administered an injection on hips.
But from the following day the left side from hip to foot was swollen. Again he visited the clinic, and the doctor realising his mistake treated him and assured him he would cure the leg. But the problem has not been solved and condition deteriorated further.
In another hospital, the doctors have stated that the kidney, lever and leg have been damaged owing to reaction caused by injection. Abhi’s sister Shashikala filed a complaint to Electronic City Police.
Police have registered a case against doctor and are investigating.
