Bengaluru: Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) has unveiled a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) connecting the iconic Banashankari Temple to the BMTC Metro station and Transit Traffic Management Centre on Friday January 7. The bridge will be transformed into a public green space with resting areas.
The skywalk will serve to improve traffic flow, provide safe pedestrian access, and provide space for street vendors. According to a BMRCL document, “the skywalk will enable safe access to commuters from the TTMC and Metro station by connecting the Metro station and bus stand to the opposite side of the street.”
“Setting this apart from regular FOBs, this skywalk will be a vibrant public space filled with greenery and resting pods,” it added.
