Bengaluru: Revellers having fun on New Year eve need not worry about getting back home. In most cases, taxi and auto drivers might fleece customers getting back home on that night to rake in quick money, utilising the “once in a year opportunity.”
In a rare gesture, the liberal BMTC has decided to operate buses between 10.30 pm and 2 pm from central areas of Bangalore to far-flung areas of the city mainly to ferry revellers.
The route numbers and the destination details provided by BMTC are as follows:
In addition buses will also ply from Mantri Mall, Kempe Gowda bus station and Shivajiinagar bus station to various destinations within the city.
Revellers flocking the city central areas can use the additional services to reach their respective homes past midnight.
