Bengaluru: A businessman was shot dead by some unidentified assailants at Sanjaynagar in Bengaluru on Sunday night. The police have identified the deceased as Parachuri Surendra, a real estate businessman from Andhra Pradesh.
According to police sources, the assailants had followed Surendra from Hebbal to Sanjaynagar and fired six rounds at the victim. It was said the residents of the area could not hear the sound of bullets since many residents were bursting fire crackers in the locality. Later, the public shifted injured Surendra to M S Ramaiah Hospital for treatment, but he succumbed to bullet injuries in the wee hours of Monday.
Sanjay Nagar police have registered a case and formed three police teams to nab the culprits.
