Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister and State Covid task force head Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan launched the dedicated Covid helpline set up by the ‘Sakshama’ organisation for the specially-abled on Sunday June 21.

The Helpline 0120-690-4999 created by the organisation is dedicated to the welfare of the disabled and is available in Kannada, Hindi, English, Marathi, Telugu, and Tamil.

C.N Ashwath Narayana, according to sources, claimed that all specially-abled people are eligible to have BPL cards. He also urged other organisations to work with the government to successfully administer various welfare programmes.

He also advised them to take use of the chances afforded by job reservations and a 4 percent budget allocation set up for their well-being.
