Bengaluru /New Delhi: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy assured that the Karnataka Cabinet would be formed without affecting the government’s working style and its intentions.

He spoke to media persons after participating in a meeting with senior Congress leaders including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Siddaramaiah, D K Shivakumar, DCM Dr. G Parameshwara, along with H D Revanna at Ghulam Nabi Azad’s house in New Delhi on May 28 morning.

HDK also confirmed that there were no confusions or problems regarding formation of the cabinet. “The list of names who will join the cabinet will be finalised by today or tomorrow. There are no problems between Congress and JDS regarding the distribution of ministries,” he said.

Discussions on who should get the finance ministry were also held, HDK clarified adding that he would discuss the matter with AICC President Rahul Gandhi after the list was finalised.

In politics, he said, there were no permanent friends or foes. “Regarding the coalition government, my words were misquoted. I said that I formed the government at the ‘mercy of their support.’ But, I am CM to the whole state. Some people intentionally misinterpreted this, but people can understand everything,” he added.

He also expressed his condolences to the family of MLA Siddu Nyamagowda on his untimely death and defined him as a “pro-farmer achiever.”
