Bengaluru: The State Cabinet gave approval for winter session of Assembly in Belagavi from November 21 to December 2.
Speaking to media after the Cabinet meeting, state law minister T B Jayachandra listed the decisions taken by the Cabinet.
The state government has decided to give University Grant Commission (UGC) pay scales to 10 lecturers working at Institute of Animal health and veterinary biologicals, Bengaluru. The Cabinet approved the proposal for setting up of Banavasi Development Authority in Sirsi Taluk of Uttara Kannada. It also approved to lease 110 acre land near Immavu village in Nanajangu taluk for establishing a new International film city thereby putting to rest the long term demand of those associated with film world in the State.
The other Cabinet decisions include granting 5 acres of free land for a new bus-stand in Sringeri town, modified recruitment norms for engineers in Panchayath Raj department and approval for building four villas for judges in Hebbal judges’ colony.
