Bengaluru: Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing services today announced its association with Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor (RBITC) as Title Sponsor for Bengaluru Midnight Marathon (BMM) 2016. The 10th Edition of BMM – the country’s only Midnight Marathon will be held on December 10 at KTPO grounds, Whitefield, Bengaluru in association with Capgemini. Known as one of the most premier community event of RBITC, BMM is the flagship fund-raising platform aimed at raising funds for health, education, social welfare and rural enlistment projects.
The theme of Capgemini Bengaluru Midnight Marathon 2016 is ‘Run for Happy Schools’ and the initiative is aimed at supporting RBITC’s effort to uplift the 7 public schools adopted by them that teach close to 4000 students in and around Whitefield villages. The uplifting project will include upgradation of school infrastructure, science and computer labs, potable drinking water facilities and toilets. Some part of the funds will also be used for RBITC’s integrated village development and healthcare projects.

Capgemini has 6 offices in Bengaluru with the largest presence in Whitefield. Over 3000 employees of Capgemini in Bengaluru are expected to participate at the marathon across categories. The key events of Capgemini BMM 2016 include: 5k IT City Fun Run, Open 10k Run, Half Marathon and Full Marathon. The pre-marathon gala will commence from 4 pm onwards on December 10, 2016 followed by smaller runs which will start from 5.30 p.m. onwards. The Full Marathon will be flagged off at 12:00 am, midnight.
