Cartridge explosion: Man burnt alive in Kanakapura

Ramanagara: A person was burnt alive by a sudden explosion while transporting cartridges for mining near Marale Gavi Matha Ramanagara on Tuesday August 17.

The deceased has been identified as Mahesh alias Rad Mahesh (48) who was the resident of Brindavan Nagar of Kanakapura. Mahesh was originally from Doddalahalli village and settled in Kanakapura for business purposes.

Eyewitnesses said that the fire broke out and the vehicle accidentally exploded which claimed his life. The deceased is survived by his wife and two sons.

The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Satanur police station. Central Range Inspector General Of Police Dr. Chandrashekhar has visited and inspected the site.
