Bengaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested nine persons for gambling at Kempapura Main Road, near Esteem Mall.
The police have identified the arrested persons as Manjunatha (39), Girish (29), Nagesh (30), Venkatesh (31), Dileep (32), Krishna (41), Chandrasekhar (42), Suresh (28) and Purushotham (25). The police have seized Rs 82,500 cash, 52 playing cards and one blanket.
The police said the arrested persons used to play andhar bahar at a car garage owned by Manjunatha who used to collect Rs 500 from the people indulged in gambling.
A case has been registered at Amruthahalli police station and the police are investigating the case.
