CCB raids mobile store, fake items worth Rs 1 Cr seized in B’luru

Bengaluru: Sleuths from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided a store on SP Road for selling fake electronic accessories branded companies and confiscating items worth over Rs. 1 crore.

Police raided the store owned by Mohan Lal alias Jacky after receiving credible information. They seized Rs. 1 crore worth of mobile and other electronic accessories, including pen drives and Bluetooth devices. Mohan was not present at the time of the raids.

Mohan was a wholesale dealer of mobile phone accessories, pen drives, memory cards, and other products who sold them to retail outlets and customers in Bengaluru and neighboring towns, informed CCB police. He kept both real and counterfeit Apple, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, Realme, and boAT Bluetooth speakers, etc.

Customers were rarely given bills for their purchases, informed CCB.
