CCB sleuths nab four postal employees selling drugs!

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, four postal employees were arrested by the CCB sleuths for allegedly importing drugs through postal services and selling it.

CCB Police, on Tuesday, arrested postal employees working in head post office located at Raj Bhavan Road and Chamrajpet post office. The accused are H Subbu, Ramesh Kumar, Syed Majid Ahmed, and Vijay Rajan.

According to Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao, all the four were in touch with a drug peddler.

“The four accused had registered a fake address and imported drugs to that address through postal service. They were even earning illegally through peddlers. With the confirmed information on the racket, the CCB police raided the den and nabbed them. A total of 339 MDMA tablets, 10 gram MDMA and 30-gram brown sugar worth of Rs 20 lakhs”, he said.

Explaining on from where the accused imported drugs, compol said, “The accused imported drugs from the Netherlands, Denmark and America. They did this without even leaving any clue. These four used to sell the drugs to students, labourers and employees working in private companies. These drugs were brought through ‘dark web’ and attaching fake postal address.”
