Bengaluru: Home Minister Araga Jnanendra has informed that Chief Secretary P. Ravi Kumar tested positive for Covid – 19.
Railway ADGP Bhaskar Rao, who was due for a Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) on December 31 but continued to work, tested positive as well. Both are asymptomatic.
In Mandya, SP, ASP and several senior police officers have also tested positive. For the first time, bureaucrats and police officials are testing positive for Covid – 19.
It can be recalled that on Friday January 7, Revenue Minister R. Ashok was tested positive.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is the primary contact of a majority of the officers who tested positive.
