Chikkaballapura: Former Union Minister M. Veerappa Moily attacked the BJP Government of adopting a policy of divide and rule for political gains.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of Block Congress Presidents in the town, he said, “If there is any country which suffers from the highest poverty in the world, it is India. However, instead of taking steps to eradicate poverty, the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Congress Government is pursuing a policy of divide and rule for their political interests.

He also attacked the Central and State Governments for creating differences on issues of culture, race, religion and customs.

MLC Anil Kumar said that the upcoming Assembly elections are a big challenge and the Central and State Governments are coming to power with an artificial majority through Operation Lotus on the strength of money and caste and we have make people aware of the corruption, anti-people policies and failures of this Government, he said.
