Chitradurga: At the budget preparatory meeting for the year 2023-24 held at the City Corporation Office here on Wednesday December 7, the public suggested that the revenue of the City Corporation should be increased by increasing the rent for shops in the heart of the City, fixing taxes for certain parts of the house and plot.

Municipal Council Member C. Srinivas, Vishwakarma Parishad State President R. Prasanna Kumar, Social Worker H. S. Syed said that instead of the G+2 site being constructed in the City limits, and plots should be allotted to the landless poor.

Beneficiaries are not interested in getting G+2 houses. Therefore, he demanded that 1750 plots should be allotted to the poor.

Responding to this, Municipal Commissioner C. Chandrappa said instructions have already been issued to prepare a list of landless people in the Municipal limits.

Once the list is ready, he promised to hold discussions with the MLA, District Officer, Tahasildar and concerned officials and take an appropriate decision.
