Chitradurga: Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday October 12 said that the Central and State Governments have destroyed the entire job creation system.

Speaking at an interaction on the issue of unemployment with Youth Congress workers at the Bharat Jodo Yatra camp near Giriyammanahalli in Molakalmuru Taluk, Rahul said, “No job will be created just like that. A plan has to be made for creating any job. There is no roadmap for job creation by the State Government. Look at how many jobs were destroyed due to demonetisation, how many jobs and industries were shut down due to bad GST. The government does not want to give jobs to unemployed youth. In this context, the strength of our country is being wasted. This is a crime,” he said.

“It’s not just about giving employment-business to two or three people. Lakhs of youth in the nation and the State are unemployed. The Congress will work out a strategy to provide jobs to all of them. We will first fill up the vacant posts. We will give top priority to health and education sectors,” he said.

“The younger generation should first stop fighting among ourselves and do the work of nation-building. When you do this, you will not be able to do part-time job and look for work in WhatsApp groups. India’s youth power has a lot of wisdom. I have been observing while walking on the roads of State. Everyone is capable. The Government should trust you. You have to be empowered. But they are destroying your dream,” he claimed.

A young man in the conversation said, “I have studied MBA. I am 26 years old and do not have a job. I am working part-time at Zomato. When asked if he could say this to his father and mother, another young man said, “We poor people study and write exams with a lot of hard work. However, high-level police officers were involved in the irregularities in the PSI examination. Is it possible to stop all this?” he asked, added Rahul.
