Chitadurga: One person died and three others were injured in a collision between a car and a private bus in the Patrahalli village in the Hiriyur Taluk here.
The deceased has been identified as Mallinath (23) a native of Shahapur who was travelling in the car. The injured, who are all car occupants, are receiving treatment at the District hospital.
According to sources, the car hit the oncoming bus head-on as it travelled from Shahpur in Yadgir to Bengaluru.
A case has been registered at the Hiriyur Police Station.
