Chitradurga: A large number of people are gathering at the Jana Sankalpa Yatra. This will be a Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra in the future, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and asked Siddaramaiah to have a look.
Reacting to Siddaramaiah’s statement that the BJP’s Jana Sankalpa Yatra was short of people, the CM challenged Siddaramaiah to come and watch the yatra, extending an invitation.
Replying to a question on Congress Leader Satish Jarakiholi’s remarks on the word ‘Hindu’, he said, “There is an axe hit to the belief of hundreds of centuries. What is there to prove in this?” Religion is run on the basis of faith and it is being hurt, he asserted.
Questioning Jarakiholi whether he hasn’t mentioned in his school form as Hindu, Bommai said, “The certificate can be technical, but there has been centuries of belief that when it is hurt, what is there to discuss. There is no need for discussion, no forgiveness, now only people will decide,” he said
