Class 9 student hospitalised after assault from classmates

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a class 9 student of a private school has been admitted to KR General hospital in the city, following an assault by his classmates.

Ashok Nagar police are investigating the complaint lodged by the victim’s father in this regard and acting on this, the police registered a case against five classmates of the student under the JJ act.

According to the Ashok Nagar police, Samson Halli, a resident of Shanthinagar, in his complaint alleged that his son who is studying in Class IX was assaulted by five classmates. “On November 2, they assaulted my son the first time. School headmaster warned the accused, but then they attacked my son again after taking him to Shanthinagar grounds. He has sustained severe injuries on his head, eyes and neck,” the father of the victim mentioned in his complaint.

Police declined to name the school and the identity of the victim as the case is very sensitive.
