Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai convened a meeting with top officials in the evening of Sunday November 7 to discuss the development of Mission 2022. He advised them to improve traffic flow and road management in the central business district.
He instructed officials to take appropriate steps and announced a separate meeting to review the Smart City project.
CM Bommai said that the Namma Metro Rail Project must be completed one year ahead of schedule and ordered officials to speed up and complete all essential preparatory work. He urged hastening the land acquisition process through Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) for the Suburban Rail Project.
He also directed officials to ensure that drainage water does not enter canals as part of the 100 Waterway Project. He instructed officials to build 25 lakes at a cost of Rs. 128 crore, with the project due to be completed by the end of January. CM Bommai also proposed creating lakes and building a green fence around them.
