Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai held a one-hour closed-door discussion with Former CM B. S. Yediyurappa on the late evening of Saturday February 5. The details of the discussion are not made public.
However, sources close to both the leaders informed that the discussion was all about Cabinet expansion and dropping a few senior ministers for the party work.
It can be recalled that CM Bommai is leaving for New Delhi on Monday February 7 to hold a discussion with national party leaders over the Cabinet expansion.
According to the sources, Former CM Yediyurappa has suggested CM Bommai to drop a few ministers for the party work. He also gave a list of names who should be inducted into the Cabinet. However, CM Bommai was not committal about any of the demands of the Former CM.
If BJP sources are to be believed, Former Minister, and Ramanagara strongman C. P. Yogeshwar is all set to join the Cabinet even though Former CM is opposing it. “He will be used to strengthen the party in the old Mysuru region,” said a BJP leader.
