Bengaluru: A Day after a meeting between former CMs B. S. Yediyurappa and Jagadish Shettar, on Sunday late evening CM Basavaraj Bommai met Yediyurappa. According to the sources, Basavaraj Bommai discussed various decisions taken by the government besides cabinet expansion, filling the boards and corporations, and so on.
According to sources close to CM, he is flying to New Delhi on Tuesday. Prior to that, he held a discussion with the former CM over the issues needed to be discussed with the party central leadership.
According to the sources, BSY is pitching for the inclusion of his younger son B.Y. Vijayendra in the cabinet. However, BJP national leaders are opposing this fearing it may create a parallel power centre in the cabinet.
BSY urged the CM to get permission for the controversial Mekedatu project which may help farmers of old Mysuru region in a big way.
